Hi!

From 25 July to 9 August 2010 I rode my wreck of a mountain bike approximately 1000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats. That’s about 70 miles per day. This was primarily to celebrate being 50 this year – OK, call it a mid-life crisis if you must! – and was part of a bigger ‘cycling 4000 miles in a year‘ personal challenge (which later turned into a ‘cycling 5000 miles in a year‘ challenge).

However, I also wanted to use the ride to raise some money for charity and I’m really grateful for the support I received. The money was split evenly between two charities – St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol (in memory of Rachel Heery) and Book Aid International.

In the end I raised £3600 which is fantastic.

Thanks,

Andy
